Obviously, September 11th, 2001 was one of those days where it is impossible to forget exactly where you were at the moment you heard the news. I had just started my freshman year in the Frisch school, and was in one of my first gym classes. They had us run the mile outside and I came back up to the school steps huffing and puffing. I was right next to the gym teacher when he received the news and obviously did not grasp the magnitude of what I heard. I figured it was an accident and didn't really understand the insanity of what had happened. The entire day was very surreal and I could not figure out how I should have been feeling because it was unfathomable. It was only when I got home (early) and watched the news that I realized what had happened. We had always heard about terrorist attacks in Israel, but you can never really fathom the scariness of them until one happens fifteen minuts away from your house.
