Course Assessment

Dear Professor Jorisch,
This was one of the most useful and engaging classes I have ever taken. Rarely in college, does a student get to take a class that will be so useful to him in so many areas of life. I can use the skills I gained in word when writing a paper for school, a letter, and in many other ways. I am majoring in accounting, so the tools I learned in Excel will obviously be of great use to me. The skills I gained in PowerPoint and Access will also be of great use in the future.

Before this semester, I had always just used Word to get a paper out here and there, but never really looked into how powerful of a tool it could be. Some of the shortcuts and styling that we learned made things look so impressive, and a first impression is always very important. In Excel, not only did I learn how powerful of a tool it can be, but some of the formulas we learned will also be of great use in the future. I’d say the payment function was by far the most useful thing I learned, along with the fill handle. These formulas which could take such a long time, can be done within seconds.

I just wanted to thank you one more time for all the great lessons you taught us outside of computers. These will last far longer and have a far greater impact. Am Yisrael needs more people like you.
